I was a little skeptical even after watching some YouTube videos on groove tools in general. I'm a mid-handicapper, and honestly because of how I swing have never had a problem getting the ball to check with my irons (usually no more than a couple yards from a 5 iron to a ft or two with a wedge). I naturally have a lot of spin on my ball just with how my swing is. But this....wow! I sharpened my SW up to my 5 just to see... and let me tell you that with my SW I got true back spin from 40-100 yds out and my 5 iron was stopping withing 2-3 feet of the Ball mark on the green from about 195-200

What you have to accept with this item is it is a tool to improve / restore the grooves and is not something you use on the course to clean the grooves. I was also impressed that I was sent a email with a link on how to use it.

I have a couple of older Vokey wedges where the grooves are very worn down. I used this and saw a noticeable difference. It's not like you've got new wedges again, but for the price you pay it's worth it. I also tried it on a newer club with minimal wear and that also made a difference. Make sure you follow the instructions in the video and use some type of oil like WD40 and tape the edges of the club because you will have a few slips. It's a little hard on your hands because you want to apply a lot of pressure for a better cut.

Great product does what is says. Video instruction is well done.ive never sa ball. My wedge is a classic Wilson r90 Sandy Andy. (Circa 1960's) It is my go to club for a variety shots.. I have worn the grooves to a flat smooth surface.After spending some time working the tool the grooves came back. My first round I was able to hold shots from rough.

I used this on my old lob wedge, sand wedge, gap wedge and pitching wedge the other night. I played a round yesterday and I getting amazing spin on the ball. Wedges were spinning back like when they were new. A hint, I used Truetap Cutting Fluid to lubricate the grooves and it worked amazingly well. I highly recommend this tool.

Make sure you watch the video on how they suggest using the tool. I wasn't a fan of using oil on my club face so dish soap works fine as a lubricant. I might of got a little aggressive on my cleaning and could definitely tell the ball was spinning better since I used the tool. Worth every penny!

As someone who takes care in maintaining his clubs, I found this product to be very useful for cleaning the grooves and sharpening the edges. I've used other tools before that are not robust in terms of their ability to get into the nooks of the grooves, but this product is able to do so.
